My 6 year old gets her first Starbucks gift card

Most people are surprised and somewhat shocked when they learn that my daughter who recently turned 6 is an avid coffee drinker. She wanted to try my doctored up coffee at the tender age of 2. Yes, I let her. By age 3 she had two child-size mugs of her own nestled right next to mine in the cabinet. She currently has 6 mugs to her collection. This Christmas season she was given a gift card from Starbucks from my friend Jenny (Aunt Jenny) during our gift exchange last week. How sweet and thoughtful was that! Now my little Miss J can use her own card to get a coffee or cocoa the next time we visit Starbucks. She is always delighted to pay for things on her own so this was perfect.
I'm always thinking.. she's growing up too fast. But then again, I did start her on coffee pretty darn early!!
